There is no other country that can boast as many escapes as our beautiful capital. Thus, it is difficult to come up with an original idea as an escape room in Budapest, since Budapest is a city of escape rooms. In order to be aware of the trends, we must first be well aware of the themes of the surrounding, competitive escape rooms. After all, who wants to go to the twenty-third cliché room to escape? Well, not many.
We tried to take this approach to the next level when we broadened our field of vision and not only examined the escape rooms of our small house, in which directions new rooms are being built, but also looked around the wider world. Since 3 of our 7 rooms take place in a magical, imaginative Wizarding World, it was an obvious choice to first review the most common and well-known wizard and witch themed Harry Potter themed rooms. One could not find better inspiration in such a field.
We now present the 10 most interesting of these rooms:
#1 in Spain - Barcelona
Maximum Escape's “Prisioneros de Alkaban” (Prisoners of Azkaban) level brings everything the player can expect from a new generation escape room: fully automated locks and tasks; sophisticated and lifelike equipment; interesting quests, in fact... we can even get an insight into the tricks of alchemy thanks to the creators!
According to the story, magic disappeared from our world because all Magic Users were locked in the dungeon of Azkaban. The task of the team is to free them, but there is only one way to get inside the prison walls: as a prisoner...

#2 Germany – Berlin
Exitroom Berlin's Harry Potter room is made with a more humorous tone: according to the story of the room, the Wizarding Team did too many pranks with their wands, so one of the teachers confiscated them! Of course, the team doesn't leave it at that, they break into the strict teacher's office and try to get their wands back, but they have to hurry because the teacher comes back in an hour and pinches their ears.

#3 Latvia - Riga
The XRoom team put together perhaps the most striking frame story of J.K. To the escape room of Harry Potter and the Locked Room, set in Rowling's Wizarding World: according to the story, the title character will soon have an important Quidditch match, but one of his villains has locked him in one of the thousands of secret chambers at Hoxford. The Wizarding Team must find and free him before the start of the match, otherwise Gryffindor will start the match starting in 60 minutes, against the Slytherin team, with a significant disadvantage.

#4 Scotland - Edinburgh
In the Department of Magic's escape room called the Ministry of Magic, the brave team of Wizards must collect the prophecies and prophecies hidden by the Dark Lord in order to defeat him in the end. The specialty of the location lies in the fact that the escape room operates together with an inn specializing in potions, so it is worth arriving early or staying after the release so that the Wizarding Team can mix and consume one of the potions they have made or prepared in advance.

#5 Czech Republic - Prague
In Questerland's escape room set in the world of Harry Potter, the team has to take an exam as students of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The exam is unusual: the challenges and trials of a long-ago, historical event were brought to life by the school's teachers! According to the story, the evil, who is not named, created and hid three magical objects in some of the secret rooms of the school. A brave team of students had to look for them in the past... so now during the exam this will be the task of the team as well!

The team at Simulacre Vuit paid attention to every little detail during the design of their escape room set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter named Andana 9 ¾ (track nine and three quarters). The Players' mission is to get to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as soon as possible starting from the nine and three-quarter tracks and close the magical passageway opened by the evil wizards before it's too late...

The Lucardo team has raised the Harry Potter escape rooms to a higher level: with them, the Wizarding Team must pass the entrance exam directly to the University of Witchcraft and Wizardry! The team must pass a series of different tests: cooking a magic potion, using a wand, and maybe even with the dark forces...

#8 Ireland - Dublin
The 5 Quests team is Potter's room is perhaps even more special than before: the players do not have to take on the role of a Wizarding Team for the duration of the game - as we are used to with most levels - but of a completely ordinary Muggle company. According to the story, a group of muggles - they are the players - managed to escape into the walls of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but they also fell, so all the Wizards who were supposed to protect the school are now chasing them... With the help of Harry, they manage to pull themselves into one of the in the teacher's office, where, according to the young Wizard, a lock key is hidden. The team has to hurry, because the teacher won't be away for long and the zip wrench seems to be the only possible way out... Number of players: 2-7 Difficulty: 7.5/10 Duration: 60 minutes
#9 France - Paris
Team-Break, an escape room chain with rooms in several cities in France. Their Harry Potter-themed room, the Wizarding School, is available in three cities: the largest one in Paris, where up to 12 people can play, while 8 wizards in Bordeaux and 7 wizards in Rouen can fight Peter Pettigrew. The stake is nothing less than the fate of the world, because Pettigrew and his henchmen's quest for power is darker than ever: according to their evil plan, they will use the Muggles as a tool to become the masters of the known world. Only a single team of powerful Wizards can stop them...

In the escape room of Enigma Quests, which is carefully and authentically decorated, players can take on the role of sorcerer's apprentices, which is made even more immersive by the robes they receive at the start. By the end of the 60 minutes of Wizarding School, nebulos must pass exams to prove their aptitude and that they are worthy of becoming real Wizards and Witches.
