On the booking page, pick a day in the calendar and you'll immediately see which rooms have free slots and when. A few clicks and you're done — confirmation arrives instantly. No phone call, no waiting for a reply.

You can cancel or change your slot online up to 24 hours before the game, so you can book even if the team is not final yet. For bookings paid with a gift voucher a separate rule applies to the voucher: cancelled at least 48 hours before the game, the voucher becomes usable again; within 48 hours it counts as used by default.

The price depends on the room, the number of players and the time. You see the final amount at the first step of booking — there are no hidden costs.

At the Erzsébet körút rooms you pay on site in cash or with a SZÉP card, or by bank transfer in advance — you choose when booking. Card payment is currently not available. You can also pay with a gift voucher: enter the voucher number when booking. Enigma and Flux (Csángó utca) are booked and paid for on szabadulosjatek.com.

The game is 60 minutes, and 75 in a few rooms. Allow around 75–90 minutes in total: that covers the briefing and the shared debrief afterwards.

That's fine — a good share of teams don't make it out on their first try, and that's completely normal. Afterwards the game master walks you through the solution so the story falls into place. The shared experience stays with you either way.

Yes. The game master watches you throughout, and you can ask for a hint if you get stuck. We give exactly as much as you need — just enough to keep your momentum.

Comfortable everyday clothes are fine — there is no climbing or crawling. The rooms are in a basement, which is pleasantly cool in summer and warmer than outside in winter, but it is worth dressing in layers.

No. Our rooms work for first-timers and seasoned players alike. The booking form shows the difficulty level next to each room, so choosing is easy.

We recommend our rooms for teams of 2–6 — the experience is usually best with 3–5 — but the system allows bookings up to 8 players (up to 10 for CSI – The Butcher). Above 5 players there is a surcharge of +4,500 HUF per person. The game works fully as a pair, too.

With a larger group you play across several rooms in parallel — so nobody is left out and you can compare results at the end. Send us your headcount and we'll work out the best split.

No. Every booking is private: only your own team is in the room.

We recommend it from age 14 without hesitation. Under 14 you can play with a parent present — younger players do very well in our family-friendly rooms.

The booking form has “Child-friendly” and “Not scary” filters. One click and only the family rooms remain — no guesswork.

It varies a lot from room to room. Some are pure mystery and laughter; one is genuine horror. In the booking form you can see what to expect next to each room — and there's a “Not scary” filter too.

The tension comes mainly from the story, the atmosphere and the ticking clock. If anything feels uncomfortable, just say the word to the game master — they're with you throughout.

The door is never locked in a way that would stop you leaving. If you need to step out at any point, you can — safety always comes first.

Yes. The gift voucher can be redeemed for any of our rooms — a perfect present for someone who already has everything. You're giving an experience, not an object.
